SCP brokers relationships and connects the dots between the private and not-for-profit sectors, in order to increase pathways to jobs for people who have experienced barriers to employment.
In our first phase, SCP used qualitative performance indicators based on the Sustainable Livelihoods framework and a quantitative index, borrowed largely from Roberts Enterprise Development Foundation (REDF)based in San Francisco, which measured the Social Return on Investment of our social enterprise portfolio. For more information, see our annual SROI reports from the social enterprise phase.
Today, largely because of the expanded scope of our investment portfolio and the number of community Employment Service Organizations we are working with, we have changed our measurement framework. Currently, we track performance indicators including, the number of hires made by each employer, the percentage of staff sourced through community channels, and the career progression and duration of employment of each hire.
